Portfolio coming soonAbout Nightlight
Nightlight AB was founded on over 15 years of professional light design — exhibitions, corporate events, and automotive shows across Sweden and internationally. When Mats Persson went on to study civil engineering, earning a master's degree in Structural Engineering and Building Technology, the company took a quieter role.
Now, as a PhD student at Chalmers University of Technology researching data-driven methods for thermal resilience in housing, the company is coming back to life with a broader scope. While lighting design remains at the core, an increasing focus lies in digital tool development and app design. The Mollier Chart web app is one example — an open-source tool already used by engineers and students for psychrometric calculations.
What ties it all together is a fascination with making technical systems visible, usable, and well-designed — whether that's a thermodynamic diagram or a lighting rig.
